Government affairs work begins with an accurate map: which agencies, boards, municipalities, and legislative committees actually govern a client's business, and where discretion sits within each of them.
From there the work is steady rather than dramatic — early awareness of pending rules and legislation, credible submissions supported by real data, and working relationships with the career staff who administer the programs that matter.
